Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Part 62 – Vah Medoh Flying Bird Beast BOSS FIGHT Guide

Battling and Boarding Vah Medoh (Flying Bird Beast) Walkthrough

The Menace of Vah Medoh (RM2)

As you enter Rito Village, you’ll see that the Divine Beast Vah Medoh is blowing extremely strong winds at the village. These winds, I assume, prevent the Ritos from navigating the skies. Climb the village’s steps and enter the house with the large owl in it. Talk to him, and he’ll notice the Sheikah Slate. Kaneli, the owl leader of Rito Village, mistakenly thinks that you’re a descendant of a Champion. In his defense, it is common knowledge that the Champions died in battle 100 years ago. The Shrine of Resurrection, by contrast, is a Sheikah-only secret. Kaneli asks that you help Teba, a Rito soldier, calm Vah Medoh down before more soldiers go after it and get hurt. Saki, Teba’s wife, should know his whereabouts.

According to Saki, a magenta Rito, Teba went to the Flight Range. She tells you that you can get there by gliding from Revali’s Landing. You’ll look at Revali’s Landing, and a memory of Revali, who thought he himself should defeat Ganon, will return to you. This is Recovered Memory #2.

Before you head off to the Flight Range, activate the local Shrine. If you can, complete the “The Apple of My Eye” Side Quest. On the way to the Flight Range, activate the nearby Shrine.

At the Flight Range, you’ll see Teba. He’ll shoo you away. Talk to him again and insist on helping him. Teba explains that Vah Medoh has cannons that fire at anyone approaching. To test you, Teba instructs you to glide around the area and shoot five targets within three minutes. The trick is to aim above the targets and let gravity pull the arrows downward. There’s a Swallow Bow behind Teba if you need a bow. For passing his test, Teba gives you a Falcon Bow. Talk to Teba again, and he’ll give you twenty Bomb Arrows. Bomb Arrows are the only things that can damage Vah Medoh’s cannons. Tell Teba you’re ready, and you’ll ride Teba into the air near Vah Medoh.

In the sky, Teba will tell you that he will distract the cannons while you fire Bomb Arrows at them. The Divine Beast has four cannons, one on each corner. The shield around Vah Medoh’s body protects it from attacks; only the cannons can be damaged.

Vah Medoh, oddly, has a hard time leading its shots. Even while gliding around, you’ll be relatively safe. As with Teba’s test, you’ll have to aim above the cannons. Each cannon takes two shots to destroy. After the last cannon explodes, Vah Medoh’s shield will vanish and Teba will drop you off at the tail of the Divine Beast.
