The Nintendo Switch broke the record, the fastest selling console the Wii had.
At one time, many people thought that the Nintendo Switch could not achieve great success. One of the main reasons for this thought was that it was inevitable for a mobile home console to be defeated by smartphones and tablets. However, according to the view, this thought could not be more wrong. According to Nintendo’s recent announcement, Switch is the fastest selling home video game console in the US and has broken the record previously held by Nintendo’s Wii console. In just 10 months, 4.8 million Switches were sold and the number reached by Wii was 4 million.
Even though a large part of the interest that the device sees is only in the form of a console form connected to the television within seconds, it is easily transformed into a portable game device, it would be a lie to say that Nintendo did not have any help in the ambitious games offered during the first year.
60% of switch owners in the US have a Super Mario Odyssey game, and 55% have The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Apart from that, more than 50% of Switch players have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and approximately 20% have Splatoon 2.
Nintendo did, sells scramble
While third-party use has been less so far, Switch sales have grown rapidly, and other developers and publishers have begun to turn to the console. For example, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and DOOM, published by Bethesda, show the potential graphics of the system early in the console, while indie games like Stardew Valley find themselves in the Switch platform.
It is impressive in itself that a console without a dedicated online service or cloud recording feature has made so many sales.
Perhaps the most important feature of Switch, however, was to remind developers and followers that players were looking for entertainment in front of everything. It can also be said that this reminder includes an important lesson if the firm of the firm is thought to be Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, which are heavily focused on graphics.
Although the switch does not even come close to the impressive features of these devices, all the graphical features mean much less when playing Skyrim on the back seat comfortably during a journey.
